mothers and their children (ages 1-18) as they transition to greater self-sufficiency. Conducted weekly read-alouds with the children, focusing on character and literacy growth. Also held literacy training sessions with the parents, assisting them in being more effective first teachers and tutors for their
own children. Provided regular assessment and customized or age-appropriate lessons for each child and assisted them in owning books and developing a love for reading.
